THE UNPOPULAR TRUTH ABOUT MANY CONSERVATIVES


I ran into an old classmate at the store this morning who I hadn’t seen for years. We chatted for at least 20 minutes, catching up on each other’s lives. When I told her I travel to DC a lot for my job, the conversation turned political. Her demeanor tensed and her tone sharpened as she talked about how horrible Biden was and how inflation and rising cost of living was hurting her family. Her rant traveled from there to the Trump indictment, the Nashville shooting, and ended in a general declaration of how messed up our country has become. As I listened my eyes drifted to her shopping cart … Easter candy, various groceries, iTunes gift cards, Nike flip flops, and a case of Bud Light.
THIS IS WHY WE ARE LOSING!

We talk a big game but too often give in to convenience. We like to say we hate the Woke agenda while we support Woke companies. We sit in the comfort of our homes railing about liberty on social media platforms while the liberals are attending meetings at local school boards and city councils, supporting each other and applauding their agenda.  We don’t vote because we say the system is rigged while they research every candidate and show up in force at the polls. We don’t monitor what our children are watching while liberals indoctrinate them under the guise of entertainment. We hate what is happening, but we let it happen… through our complacency, we HELP it to happen. We talk a big game … but we don’t actually show up to play.
EDUCATE then ACTIVATE

If you are a Conservative patriot who is an active opposer of the Woke/Liberal/Democratic agenda, please share your strategies with the rest of us. If you aren’t actively opposing, then it's time we look at ourselves as we complain about them. What’s in your shopping cart?

A COUNTRY WORTH FIGHTING FOR

My Great Uncle Harry was a veteran of WWI.   Whenever I visited him as a child, I would ask him to see his neatly folded uniform in the chest at the foot of his bed.   Despite my prodding, he would never talk about his time in France, other than to say it was “Hell on Earth.”   I offered the question… “Uncle Harry, if it was so bad, why did you go?” His answer has always stuck with me… “because that’s what young American men did.” He was an amazing man. My job puts me in proximity of soldiers on a regular basis. On a recent visit to Ft Campbell, I had lunch with a group of officers ranging from a new 2nd Lieutenant to a Lieutenant Colonel. They talked with concern about the future of the US Army and the ever-growing shortage of new recruits.   Wolves were used by Vikings to attack their enemies in battle. Exceptionally hard to train, wolves only submitted to the will of their masters when food was sharply rationed; made available only in response to 'correct' behaviors. Making wolves completely dependent on their masters for food was the only way to control them. Binding them, beating them, even killing the alpha as an example to the other wolves had no lasting effect. Dependency was the only method to maintain control.   Are you free?
