SLAYING DRAGONS



Today I read a great quote: “Never feel sorry for raising dragon slayers in a time where there are actual dragons.”


Encouraging words! Reading words like this quote make us feel empowered, but what are we actually doing to prepare our kids for the dysfunction of our current society? Raising kids is not a passive act.


Words like this energize conservative parents but the flip side hides an inconvenient truth; we are the ones allowing these dragons to live, thrive, and be rampant among us. The motions we make…the actions of our elected representatives… are often an impotent attempt toward being dragon tamers, not dragon slayers.


Silent complacency is convenient, it allows us to carry on with our day to day lives, but what price are we paying for it? What investment are we making for our children’s future as a result of it? If we are to save our society, we must equip our children for battle. That is a very sad, very necessary notion.


Liberal indoctrination is happening across social media and streaming services. It is creeping into our schools and into our children’s lives. We object, we protest on social media, but what do we do beyond that? How many of us go to school board meetings? How many of us vote in local elections? How many of us are still supporting woke companies?


We cannot win unless we make a stand and we cannot make a stand while we are sitting on our asses, enjoying convenience.


The Book of Revelations (24:4) says “The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born.” Evil is most successful and most prolific when it starts early. Innocence is often defenseless. Lunacy is most easily normalized when introduced to the young. Have you checked in with your kid’s beliefs lately? You might be surprised.


EDUCATE (yourself) then ACTIVATE

Be a dragon slayer. Raise dragon slayers. Dragons are everywhere.

A COUNTRY WORTH FIGHTING FOR

My Great Uncle Harry was a veteran of WWI.   Whenever I visited him as a child, I would ask him to see his neatly folded uniform in the chest at the foot of his bed.   Despite my prodding, he would never talk about his time in France, other than to say it was “Hell on Earth.”   I offered the question… “Uncle Harry, if it was so bad, why did you go?” His answer has always stuck with me… “because that’s what young American men did.” He was an amazing man.   Wolves were used by Vikings to attack their enemies in battle. Exceptionally hard to train, wolves only submitted to the will of their masters when food was sharply rationed; made available only in response to 'correct' behaviors. Making wolves completely dependent on their masters for food was the only way to control them.
