REASON NUMBER 2 WE CONSERVATIVES ARE LOSING


I got called a "liar" by a fellow Patriot and Conservative yesterday because my post about complacency and supporting the woke culture rubbed him the wrong way. Sorry Doug. Of course he couldn't produce any evidence when I challenged him on the accusation and I reminded him how Conservatives like him are sharply protesting President Trump's indictment because of a lack of credible evidence, while he turns around and makes bold declarations about my posts... with no evidence to back them up.  See the irony?  I've only been on Twitter for 4 months and I've gotten trolled way more times by other Conservatives than by liberals.


I just don't get it.  Why can't we band together in a unified front?  Yes, everyone is entitled to have their own opinions and to be passionate about different aspects of the cause, but how does it help anything to muckrake a fellow Conservative Patriot and degrade his or her credibility?  What is the end gain?  We are stronger in numbers.  It doesn't matter how smart you look or how brightly you shine on the battlefield if you are overwhelmed by a greater force.  It took the liberals a matter of hours to band together and show up en mass at the courthouse in TN yesterday.  Could we do something like that or would we be arguing about the best places to park?


Enough squabbling... What terminal objectives do we really want to achieve?


Randall Wallace wrote a line for Braveheart that he cobbled together from other famous quotes of the real William Wallace:


“You’re so concerned with squabbling for the scraps from Longshank’s table, that you’ve missed your God-given right to something better. There’s a difference between us. You think the people of this country exist to provide you with position. I think your position exists to provide those people with freedom. And I go to make sure that they have it.” 


How appropriate those words are here. What does your "position" mean on Twitter?  What is the value in trolling your fellow Patriots? What do you gain by looking smarter than the person above you in a thread other than losing sight of the cause? You are turning your backs on the enemy to fight each other.  Twitter seems to be bringing out the worst in some... MAGA and the Conservative movement need your best.

A Letter to My Fellow Patriots

Give Yourself a Break

Emotional downtime, like sleep, is vital to our mental and emotional well-being.   Part of the liberal strategy is to use our passionate anger and objection to keep us negatively engaged; so our brains don't get much-needed downtime.   News, social media, streaming entertainment, advertisements, now even our grocery labels are becoming saturated with a narrative intended to keep us pissed off.
